@wingchangwow , if you install an OS over an old OS, you will loose all data that used to be on that hard drive. I would go and buy an external hard drive and back up everything to it before i install.

if i already have an operating system installed on my computer, and i install another to replace it, will i still have all the programs on my computer? or will i have to reinstall all of them?
